If, for whatever reason, you are unable to visit an Advice Centre, alternative arrangements may be made. For instance, an adviser may be able to travel to visit you in your home. Just telephone the Advice Centre of your choice to discuss.
Please note that the first step to obtaining money advice is always your nearest Advice Centre (or any Advice Centre of your choice).
An adviser will then assess if you need the help of a debt advice specialist and will help organise an appointment for you.
You are not charged any fees or costs relating to debt advice provided through our Advice Centres.
We also work closely with Working For Families support workers in Aberdeenshire, to ensure you have easy access to free money advice where it is needed.
If you are aged 60 years and over, your local Advice Centre is able to refer your details to The Pension Service who would then get in touch directly with you to organise a meeting, which can be a home visit should you wish. These experts are there to ensure you are receiving all your entitlements which may include Pension Credit, Attendance / Disability Living Allowance, Housing Benefit/Council Tax Benefit, State Pension and Carers Allowance.
Did you know
that if you are resident in Aberdeenshire,
then the Aberdeen
City Citizens Advice Bureau is not obliged
to take your
query?
So why not use one
of your local Advice Centres, who access
the same information
and whose staff are trained to the same standards.
