If you feel it is time to put something back into your local community then to become involved at one of our 11 advice locations across Aberdeenshire could be just right for you. If you are aged 16 years or over and are interested to help make a positive difference to people's lives, whilst working alongside supportive team members, then please get in touch. Adviser Opportunities As a Volunteer Adviser you would be fully trained at no personal cost on how to access and to give professional and impartial advice on a wide range of topics. There are always at least two advisers on duty at any one time and so there is also always additional colleague support. Fundamental to our work is we enable people make the right decisions based on them knowing all their options. A lot of our work can also include helping people to access their full entitlements within our community, which for instance can mean simply giving help to fill in a form or application. You would only be required to work during the opening times you can manage and usually times can vary on a rota arrangement, depending on the size and level of activity in the Advice Centre. Committee & Other Office Work If you would rather not commit to information or advice work, but have other skills and experience such as good organisation / administration skills, computer skills, finance, fund raising experience, etc. then we would also be very interested to hear from you. Interested? Having read this, please now take the next step and either contact direct the Advice Centre you have in mind, or the AASN Administrator via the general e-mail link on the Contact Us page.
